
“Spirit of the Plains" With its powerful presence and rich symbolism, the buffalo evokes the deep connection between the land and its original inhabitants. The textured brushstrokes bring the animal’s strength and resilience to life, and my hope is to remind viewers of its role in shaping the history and culture of our continent.
This is a new topic for me to paint — one that I have been pondering for some time now and my intent was to offer a glimpse into the wild spirit of North America’s early landscapes, honouring the buffalo’s place as a symbol of both survival and reverence.
