Two Pet Commissions — One 12"x12" Gallery Wrap for Leonard & Hank | One 11"x14" Gallery Wrap for Sugar

Hi Richard,

Thank you so much for thinking of me to capture the beautiful pets in your family's lives.

Each close up portrait will be created in my expressive style on a stretched gallery wrap canvas  and come ready to hang as is with all the sides painted for a nice, finished look.

This order includes two custom pieces at $350 each with a total of $700. I do not charge GST at this time.

Commission One — Hank & Leonard
Size: 12” x 12”
Materials: High-quality stretched gallery wrap canvas; acrylics; archival sealant

Hank (black cat):
What sets him apart from other black cats that we’d want include in the painting – he has a distinctive small tuft of white hair in the middle of his chest (see picture of him on the red towel), bright light green eyes, and he is taller than most cats with long legs.

Leonard (orange cat):
What sets him apart from other cats that we’d want include in the painting – he has a slightly smaller body and quite a bit sorter than Hank, his nose and lips are quite pink, and his eyes are always wide open vs the slits in Hanks eyes most of the time

They are best friends who are inseparable, so incorporating this into the painting somehow (Hank could have a ling arm wrapped over Leonard’s shoulder perhaps?) would be ideal

Commission Two — Sugar
Size: 11” x 14”
Materials: High-quality stretched gallery wrap canvas; acrylics; archival sealant

She’s a 10-lbs papillon

What sets her apart from most other dogs is her butterfly ears and long flowing fur from her ears; its super important that you capture her distinct ears and ear fur

Not a lot of papillons have brown coloring on their heads – most are black and white only, so to capture some of the browns is also important

As for size, we’re thinking the 11x14 but will absolutely let you decide what you think would work best and will pay you accordingly.

For both the Hank/Leonard & Sugar paintings, we’d love to also have some of the vibrant background colors that your paintings are famous for like you did on your Wildflower Extravaganza Moose and Mystic Gaze Bear paintings if possible. At the end of the day, we’d love both to have lots of color yet, still be able to recognize all 3 animals for their distinct characteristics like Hank’s white chest hairs for example. 

Upon receipt of payment, please allow 3 business days for me to acquire all materials and 2-3 weeks for planning and production depending upon current workflow. Hank and Leonard are scheduled to be complete before Christmas and I will do my best to get Sugar to you by then if possible.

Work back schedule: Once initial painting is complete, I will capture a photo of it in natural light and forward it to you for your review. This will be a good time to make smaller non-technical changes like colours and small additions if necessary. The reason I do not want to get too technical with changes is that it will start to change the intentions of my expressionism. Each commission piece is unique to itself. Having said that, this is a commission of your dear one and I want to get their likeness right for you.

The painting will come unframed but ready to hang as is with the sides of the gallery wrap canvas painted to give it a continuous look and finish.
