Inspired by the breathtaking Canadian Rockies, this vibrant painting captures Spray Lakes from a rare and magical perspective from high above in a helicopter. Bursting with kaleidoscopic colour and expressive brushstrokes, it transforms a natural landscape into a dreamlike vision.
This piece was inspired by a birthday helicopter tour over the Three Sisters and Bow Valley with Alpine Helicopters in Canmore, Alberta. From one of the photos taken mid-flight, I tried to create and capture the joy, wonder and movement of the mountains and lakes from above.
